MINI RETREAT NIGHT VIRTUAL EDITION
SATURDAY JUNE 6TH - 6:30 - 8:30PM
A virtual addition of my mini retreat night. Two hours of yin and restorative yoga, meditation and mindfulness. With a heavy focus towards using the breath to really sooth yourself into a deep state of relaxation, a place half way between waking and sleeping. Effectively we’re trying to access alpha or theta brainwaves and i think a little summary of what these brain waves do to our state of conciousness really sums up what this evening is all about…
Alpha brainwaves are dominant during quietly flowing thoughts, and in some meditative states. Alpha is 'the power of now', being here, in the present. Alpha is the resting state for the brain. Alpha waves aid overall mental coordination, calmness, alertness, mind/body integration and learning.
Theta brainwaves occur most often in sleep but are also dominant in deep meditation. Theta is our gateway to learning, memory, and intuition. In theta, our senses are withdrawn from the external world and focused on signals originating from within.
Whilst for obvious reasons I can’t create mini gift bags or give you roses (boo) there will be virtual gifts in the form of a 30 minute guided meditation mp3 audio file emailed to you, a specially curated private playlist shared with you and I will pick you each an inner star oracle deck card and send you out the image and the description before the retreat begins, something you can ponder or use as an intention when turning your gaze inward for the evening.
The wonderful thing about this being virtual is that you can just get ultimately cosy in your home space, PJ’s the lot, enjoy two hours of fuzzy cocooning in the yin vibes. No driving home in a yoga haze just rolling straight into bed. Amazing!
I have provided multiple price tiers to try and suit all circumstances but if you feel this is not the case for you don’t hesitate to get in touch.
