Yoga & periods.

from £5.00

This was a talk held live on zoom, however you still have time to get involved… Available for the rest of august you can book here and we will send you the recording link to watch in your own time. The beauty of this now being a past event is that i can say with confidence we absolutely smashed it! kept it fun and down to earth, it’s an hour long (we edited out the Q&A for peoples privacy but everything else is raw unedited and real! From feedback we’ve had from the lovelies that could make the live event everyone found it really informative so we thought we’d share it out wider so that hopefully even more people can gain insight from the information we share! If you have any questions at all just shoot me a message lots and lots of love XX Rosie XX

Just two girls obsessed with yoga and periods...

Join Rosie and Louise as they give you a whistle-stop tour of how the menstrual cycle affects your yoga practice. They'll share their own experiences and how they adapt their practice to fit their cycle, and give suggestions on what your practice might look like at different stages across the month, so you can use your cycle to your advantage and get the most out of your yoga practice.

Both Rosie and Louise are ashtanga practitioners and yoga teachers, and they are obsessed with exploring the magic that is the menstrual cycle. The menstrual cycle really does go hand-in-hand with a yoga practice, and having an understanding of how to combine the two can help you to unlock your inner powers and deepen your journey of self-exploration.

Something the girls wanted to highlight was their experiences practising in particular Ashtanga yoga from the perspective of honouring the menstrual cycle, a topic that can tend to be overlooked. Ashtanga and other forms of classical yoga were initially designed and practised by men only, taught to young men as a form of developing discipline. Therefore traditionally speaking the method and the sequencing don't really take into account the various fluctuations that come along with a monthly cycle. Now for some women this may not be an issue at all, of course everyone is different, but Rosie and Louise were akin in the experience that their practises were/are majorly informed and affected in different ways within the 4 different phases of the cycle. So from many animated conversations on the topic of yoga and periods this concept was born. To create a space to share their experiences and perhaps also open the floor for you to share yours too.

Suitable for anybody who is interested - regardless of gender, age, whether or not you have an active menstrual cycle or are going through or have moved beyond menopause, wether or not you practise yoga, and which type of yoga you practise. We hope that there will be interesting and useful information for everyone!

We are SO excited to be doing this and really hope you can join us!

The talk will be held on zoom, you will receive the invitation link at least one hour before the event.
