DEEP DIVE // BACK BENDS - WORKSHOP - SAT 5TH JUNE

£25.00

Deep dive // Back bends - workshop - Sat 5th June - 10:30am - 1:00pm - In studio (location coastal - info on booking)

Coming back to those more in depth workshops that we started last year where we take a look at specific postures or types of postures, taking time to mull over in detail all the elements that make up that particular pose. What postures we might practise to improve certain elements of strength or flexibility required for the pose, what props can be useful to develop the pose. We might touch on yogic philosophy related to the pose or poses / generally discuss the purpose of asana from the yogic philosophy perspective. We will have time and space to discuss our own journey towards the particular posture, ask any questions / get advice tailored to where you are at individually.

In this case we will be taking a look at Back bends, everything that goes in to developing a healthy back bend. We will explore some of the back bends that you know well from your primary series practise and perhaps some other’s which come around in second series (or that you may have come across in vinyasa flow or perhaps even yin classes.)

This workshop is aimed towards those of you who have practiced with me either in person or on zoom. For this particular workshop it doesn’t matter wether you practice Ashtanga or Vinyasa flow with me either way there will be lots of useful information to take away. We will be using the Ashtanga standing sequence as a warm up but the predominant part of the workshop will be playing around and experimenting with different backbends / using props etc so wether your usually a flow yogi or a regular Ashtangi you are super welcome!

Places are limited to suit the space we will be practicing in and also to ensure that I can give you all a more individual type of attention and hopefully you leave the workshop feeling that you have deepened or developed your practise in some way!

As always any questions don’t hesitate to message me, I am super excited to be able to get these sessions going in person again!! YEY
